Events Portal Policies

Clear policies for registration, cancellations, refunds, community conduct, moderation, and responsible platform use.

Review the guidelines that explain how Events Portal works, what organizers and participants are responsible for, and how important event-related situations are handled.

01

Event Registration & Attendance

Each event listing shows the information its Organizer has provided, including format (physical, online, or hybrid), schedule, and any registration link or fee. Where a registration link is provided, registering happens directly with the Organizer or their registration/ticketing provider — Events Portal is not a party to that registration.

For online or hybrid events, join details such as links or meeting platforms are shared directly with registered attendees by the Organizer and are not published on the public event page.

02

Cancellations, Postponements & Changes

Organizers are responsible for keeping their event status, date, schedule, and other details up to date, and for notifying registered attendees directly about any cancellation, postponement, or significant change.

Events Portal reflects the status an Organizer sets but does not independently verify or guarantee it. Participants should confirm important changes directly with the Organizer before making non-refundable arrangements such as travel or accommodation.

03

Refunds

Because Events Portal does not currently process event payments or sell tickets, refund requests should be directed to the Organizer or the registration/ticketing provider through which payment was made.

Refund eligibility will depend on the terms published for the specific event. If you are unsure who to contact, you may contact us and we will try to help you identify the appropriate Organizer contact.

04

Code of Conduct

Everyone using the Ask a Question feature — including attendees, panelists, and organizers — is expected to:

  • Keep questions and replies relevant, respectful, and related to the event.
  • Avoid harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, or discriminatory language.
  • Not share another person's personal information without consent.
  • Not use the Q&A feature for advertising, spam, or unrelated solicitation.
  • Not impersonate a panelist, organizer, or another attendee.

Panelists and Organizers are additionally expected to respond respectfully and in good faith, and to treat private questions directed to them as confidential.

05

Content & Question Moderation

Admin or Staff may hide or remove a question or an individual reply that breaches the Code of Conduct, particularly where it involves harassment, illegal content, spam, or a privacy violation.

Hiding a question may also stop further replies to that thread. If you believe content was moderated in error, contact us using the details below.

06

Cookie Policy

We currently use essential cookies needed to operate the Service, including keeping account holders signed in, remembering OTP verification for the duration of an event session, and protecting forms through CSRF security.

We do not currently set third-party advertising or analytics cookies. See our Privacy Policy for more information about the data these cookies support.
